At Little Buddy Friend, everything starts with family. Our bakery is built on recipes passed down from my grandmother and great-grandmother — the kind of recipes that carry stories in every fold of dough and every rise of bread. We make everything by hand, the way it’s always been done, with time, care, and good ingredients at the center of it all.
We specialize in bagels and donuts, two humble treats that we believe can bring people together around a table or across a counter. Our doughs are naturally fermented, which means they’re easier to digest, full of flavor, and made to nourish rather than just fill. By sourcing proper ingredients — flours we trust, dairy from good farms, and sugar that doesn’t cut corners — we try to bake food that feels as good to eat as it tastes.
This bakery started because of mornings. My wife and I have both worked in kitchens our entire lives, but we wanted to carve out time to spend mornings with our own little buddy friend before heading into work. That morning ritual grew into something bigger — a bakery that could serve as a space for others to slow down, connect, and share in good food.
Community is at the heart of what we do. You’ll find us hosting pop-ups, bringing fresh bagels and donuts to neighborhood events, and always trying to create little moments of joy wherever we set up. Our hope is that Little Buddy Friend feels less like a shop and more like a gathering place — where you run into neighbors, swap stories, and grab something delicious to take home.
For us, baking isn’t just about feeding people. It’s about carrying forward family traditions, honoring the craft of fermentation, and building connections one bagel or donut at a time. We’re proud to share our table with you, and we hope you’ll feel the same sense of welcome and warmth that inspired us to start this journey.
